Randeep Wadehra: A Life of Resilience, Writing and Reinvention

The Inspiring Journey of an Author, Journalist and Novelist

Randeep Wadehra

At the age of 70, Randeep Wadehra is living a life that is full of courage, writing and new ideas. His journey is not an ordinary one. From working as a bank officer at a young age to becoming bedridden, from writing newspaper articles to becoming a published novelist, Randeep has seen many difficult days.

Today, he is known as an author, blogger, columnist and novelist based in Bengaluru. His two books, AGNI – The Voice of Revolution and OMNI Protocol – The Last Algorithm, show his interest in society, politics, freedom, technology and human life.

His life story also gives us an important message: a difficult situation can change our path, but it does not have to end our journey.

Early Life and Family Influence

Randeep Wadehra was born into a family where books and literature were given importance. His father was a retired Indian Air Force officer and had a keen interest in English and Urdu literature. He also wrote Urdu poetry. His mother enjoyed reading Punjabi and Hindi literature.

This family environment helped Randeep develop a love for words from an early age.

He was the eldest among four siblings. His school years took him to different parts of India. Later, he completed his schooling at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hebbal, Bengaluru.

After school, he completed his B.Com from R.C. College of Commerce, Bengaluru, and later earned an M.Com from Himachal Pradesh University.

Randeep was also an active young man. He played hockey, cricket, badminton and table tennis. He also trained in boxing. At one point, he had a dream of joining the Indian Army.

His early life was full of hopes, plans and possibilities.

A Young Banking Officer

At the age of 23, Randeep joined the State Bank of Travancore as a Probationary Officer. He had recently married and was starting his professional career.

For a young man, it was a promising beginning. He had education, a job and plans for the future.

But life suddenly took a very different turn.

Randeep became 100% physically handicapped and bedridden.

This changed almost every part of his life. His marriage ended. His banking career came to an end without compensation or benefits. His ageing parents and sisters had to take responsibility for his care.

He also underwent two major surgeries, but they did not bring the improvement he had hoped for.

For many people, such a situation could bring life to a complete stop.

For Randeep, it became the beginning of another journey.

Writing Became His New Strength

Being mostly confined to his bed, Randeep started looking for a way to stay connected with the outside world.

He found that way through writing.

He began writing articles for newspapers. During the early period, his father helped him by taking his articles to newspaper offices.

Slowly, his writing received attention.

Randeep later became a regular freelance columnist for The Tribune, Chandigarh. He wrote lead articles and also reviewed books and television programmes.

His articles also appeared in publications such as The Times of India, The Indian Express, Tehelka and Financial World.

His writing covered many subjects, including politics, defence, geopolitics, national affairs and international affairs.

For Randeep, writing was not only a way to earn or publish. It became a way to remain active, think about society and share his views with readers.

The Special Bond Between Father and Son

One of the most special parts of Randeep’s writing journey was his work with his father.

The two sometimes wrote articles together. Their subjects included politics, defence, strategic affairs and international relations.

Randeep brought his writing skills, while his father brought his experience and knowledge.

Their work was more than just newspaper writing. It was also a beautiful example of a father and son sharing ideas and learning from each other.

His father played an important role during the early years of Randeep’s writing career. This support became an important part of his journey.

Life After Journalism

Randeep faced another difficult period when his parents passed away. His long association with newspaper writing also came to an end.

But once again, he decided to start something new.

He moved towards blogging, poetry, vlogging and fiction writing.

In October 2024, Randeep and his two sisters moved to Bengaluru. His sisters have continued to support him and encourage him to become more self-dependent and continue his creative work.

This part of Randeep’s life shows an important quality in his personality. He has learned to start again whenever life has forced him to take a new road.

His story is therefore not only about disability or hardship. It is about resilience, family support, writing and the courage to begin again.

AGNI – The Voice of Revolution

Randeep Wadehra’s first novel, AGNI – The Voice of Revolution, takes readers into a fictional country called the Republic of Dhundhara.

The country is ruled by fear and violence. People are not free to speak openly, and the system is controlled by powerful people.

The main character, Senator Agni, is a strong woman who wants to fight against the people responsible for her parents' deaths.

Another important character is Sankat, a revolutionary who leads an underground resistance. He believes that a corrupt system can only be cleaned through strong action.

When Agni and Sankat’s paths meet, the story becomes a powerful journey of revolution, justice, power, truth and morality.

The book makes readers think about a simple but difficult question:

When a system becomes unfair, should people remain silent or stand up against it?

AGNI – The Voice of Revolution is not only a political story. It also looks at human emotions, pain, courage and the meaning of justice.

OMNI Protocol – The Last Algorithm

Randeep’s second novel, OMNI Protocol – The Last Algorithm, takes readers into a very different world.

The story takes place in Lythara, a city where technology seems to have solved almost every problem.

There is very little crime. Poverty has disappeared. There is no major conflict. At first, the city looks like a perfect place to live.

But there is a hidden cost.

People are watched. Their future is controlled. Their identity can be changed. Their choices are not completely their own.

The story follows Teesha, a systems analyst who discovers strange information inside the system. Her search leads her to Angad, an engineer with no clear past.

As Teesha goes deeper, she finds a truth that can put the whole system at risk.

The novel raises an important question:

If technology can create a perfect world, but people lose their freedom, is that world really perfect?

OMNI Protocol – The Last Algorithm explores artificial intelligence, technology, surveillance, freedom, identity and human choice.

Two Books, One Common Message

Although AGNI – The Voice of Revolution and OMNI Protocol – The Last Algorithm have different stories, they have one strong connection: freedom.

AGNI looks at freedom from the point of view of political power and revolution.

OMNI Protocol looks at freedom in a world where technology controls people’s lives.

Both books ask readers to think about the world around them.

What happens when power becomes too strong?

What happens when people stop questioning?

Can safety come at the cost of freedom?

These are serious questions, but Randeep presents them through stories that allow readers to think and decide for themselves.

Randeep Wadehra: A Story of Never Giving Up

The journey of Randeep Wadehra, author and novelist, is much bigger than his two books.

At the age of 23, his life changed in a way he could never have expected. But he did not allow that difficult situation to take away his ability to think, write and create.

He became a journalist and columnist. He wrote for well-known newspapers and magazines. Later, he explored blogging, poetry and vlogging. Finally, at the age of 70, he entered the world of fiction with two novels.

His journey teaches us that age is not a barrier to new beginnings.

A person can learn something new, start again and follow a dream even after many years.

Randeep’s story is also a story of family. His parents supported him during his hardest years, his father became his literary partner, and his sisters continue to support his life and creative work.

Today, his books allow his ideas to reach readers far beyond his home.

A Journey Worth Hearing

The story of Randeep Wadehra is ideal for a meaningful podcast conversation. His life raises many questions about childhood, family, education, career, disability, journalism, writing, resilience and literature.

A conversation with him can explore how he handled the sudden change at 23, how his father supported his early writing, what he learned from journalism, how his sisters helped him move forward, and what inspired him to write his first and second novels.

Most importantly, his journey shows that life does not always follow the plan we make.

Sometimes the road changes completely.

But there can still be another road waiting.

For Randeep Wadehra, that road was made of words.

From a young bank officer to a journalist, from a bedridden life to a blogger, and finally from a writer to a published novelist, his journey proves one simple truth: the human spirit can continue to create even when life becomes difficult.

His story is not about the life he lost.

It is about the life he chose to build through writing, imagination, courage and hope.
